I think we all realize that we reap what we sow. If we want amazing results but we have poor processes we will not see the impact we are trying to make. If we want amazing but we are not sure what that looks like, we are just doing tasks. If we hire good people but we don’t train them and onboard them well, they will not thrive and probably not stay. So what do we do. We need to Get Ready!
Trying to achieve amazing results will take a lot of small steps of preparation and training. But, in order to start your preparation and training, you must first understand where you are trying to go. You must get a glimpse of what could be. We need to see where we want to go and what our results could look like. You can’t go to NEXT unless you get a glimpse of what it could look like. (Pastor Mo, mwchurch.com).
Sometimes we are the biggest road block toward amazing. With clients all over the country I often hear, “That’s just the way we do it.” Status quo will not lead you to NEXT or amazing! You may have been feeling the nudge of change to be more amazing and impactful but our logic, our mind, might be saying “This is Crazy”, “We can’t do this”, “We can’t make these changes”. You will have to choose between the comfortable or taking a chance. You will have to choose between what my mind is telling me or the amazing opportunity. You will have to decide to take a step of faith or stay the course with what we have always done. But you will never get to your amazing NEXT letting fear and logic be the most influential voices.
Just remember, your people could be empowered to make significant contributions. If your team knew where we might try to go and what a challenge this will be, they may step up and help you create something unbelievable. If your team knows where we are trying to go and why, you might be amazed at the level of buy in you might create. See what could be! Share the What and the Why and then start creating your strategy and next steps.
It will take a lot of small steps to begin to move you toward what is NEXT. Commit to the future and commit to the small steps and start your journey toward amazing!.
